Custom Original Domed Stickers

Monolith Factory Co., Ltd.'s domed stickers have a simple design consisting of a logo mark, URL, and lines within an 80×30mm space, printed in two colors (black and PANTONE5803C).

We would like you to see how this simple design seal dramatically changes with doming processing.

Before and After

Domed stickers are completed in two steps: 'printing + cutting' → 'doming.' Let's take a look at the before and after. Below is the printed sticker from the earlier design.

When doming (resin filling) processing is applied to this sticker, it will look like this:

Compared to printing alone, you'll notice a significant change in impression. This is the result of doming processing. In other words, doming significantly enhances the premium feel compared to a regular sticker.

Materials Used

Each printing company may use different materials for domed stickers, but we recommend 'PVC' or 'PET' materials. These materials are highly compatible with resin and offer excellent durability. Additionally, 'hologram PET,' 'gold gloss PET,' and 'silver gloss PET' are good choices for design compatibility with doming, making them worth trying if you want to stand out.

On the other hand, it is wise to avoid 'PP' material due to poor compatibility. 'Paper' often has poor compatibility and low durability, so it is not recommended. If you want to use special paper for design reasons, it's advisable to conduct a trial first.

Points to Note

There are also points to note when applying domed stickers. Domed stickers can only be applied to flat surfaces. Although doming is made of resin, it hardens when solidified and will resist bending if force is applied. Therefore, if applied to curved surfaces, it may peel off. Ensure that the adherend is flat.

By the way, the thickness of a domed sticker is about 2mm. Compared to a regular sticker, which is 0.1mm thick, it is 20 times thicker.

Another point to be cautious about is the 'shape of the finished domed sticker.' As mentioned earlier, doming retains its shape due to the surface tension of the liquid resin when applied to pre-cut stickers. If too much resin is applied, it may overflow the edges.

Therefore, doming is not suitable for sharp designs. Simple shapes like squares or circles are fine, but if you have a complex or sharp-edged design, please consult with us.
