Recipe Labels are stickers designed for leaflets that provide clear and organized presentation of recipe information. They often include essential details such as ingredients, instructions, and cooking times, making them easy to use for both the producer and the consumer.

Recipe Labels
Today, we are introducing a case study of "Recipe Labels." The case involves product and recipe labels for the "GHEE EASY" grass-fed butter from Flat Craft Co., Ltd., which delivers carefully selected products from Europe.
Product label for "GHEE EASY" grass-fed butter
Recipe labels differ from regular labels. They are multilayer labels (layered labels) consisting of folded printed materials laminated onto adhesive paper. The GHEE EASY recipe label comprises 11 pages. The 200×40mm coated paper is folded into 40×40mm. By cutting the perforation on the right side, it opens like an envelope, revealing the contents. The inside includes an introduction to grass-fed butter and recipes using GHEE EASY.
When you open the perforation and unfold it, you'll find recipes for toast, coffee, stir-fry, soup curry, and meat dishes using ghee. The back side explains the origins and characteristics of ghee.
Recipe Labels Specifications
The recipe label has a three-layer structure. The surface laminate (PET16PL Shine), the middle is coated 73kg, and the bottom adhesive paper is Yupo 80 (UV) PAT1 11BL. Both laminate and adhesive paper can be changed. The finished product can be in sheet or roll form. (※If in roll form, it needs to be tested on your automatic labeler.)
20 recipe labels are affixed to one sheet. These sheets are then stacked appropriately and packaged with kraft paper.
Data Creation Method
Upon order, we will provide you with a format data (Adobe Illustrator) tailored to the dimensions and number of pages. You will layout the design from A to K. The format data includes guides, lines, and notes separated into layers. Anyone with Illustrator experience can easily operate it. We also offer design services. Please consult with us.
It's simple to lay out the design from A to K as shown above.
Order Quantity
Orders start from 10,000 pieces. Due to the many processes involved in producing multilayer labels, the unit price becomes high for small quantities. We apologize for any inconvenience but do not accept small quantity orders.
Proofing (Trial)
We recommend proofing for recipe labels. Proofing means creating the same as the final product for confirmation. The recipe label process involves multiple steps such as offset printing → folding → lamination → inspection, so even for a trial, it costs 55,000 yen or more. Although optional, it helps prevent mistakes by checking the print color and page position beforehand. 90% of our customers do proofing before mass production.
Recipe Labels Delivery Time
The usual delivery time for recipe labels is as follows:
Proofing (optional) ・・・ 11 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)〜
Mass production ・・・・・・・ 12 business days (excluding weekends and holidays)〜
As mentioned earlier, recipe labels require more steps than regular label printing, so the delivery time is longer. Please order with plenty of time. Check the lead time on the estimate and adjust accordingly.
Introduction to GHEE EASY
Ghee has been recognized as one of the "50 Healthiest Foods in the World" by TIME magazine and is also known as "Miracle Oil." GHEE EASY is made using traditional methods from high-quality Dutch butter. GHEE EASY uses only butter from cows that are pasture-raised and fed natural grass (grass-fed butter). You can enjoy it in stir-fries, roasts, or as a substitute for butter or oil in your pan.
