Reason for Choosing Kojima Label | The client explained that they had a large order volume and wanted a consistent, stable finish without any variations in quality. Since they were investing in this production, they did not want to compromise on the details—they aimed for beautifully precise printing. For that reason, they chose Kojima Label Printing, a company with extensive experience and a strong reputation for technical excellence. |
Needs | The client decided to replace the conventional paper tags attached to their towel handkerchiefs with a sticker format that combines both design appeal and practicality. They requested a 3 mm diameter hole to be punched so the piece could not only be used as a sticker but also function as a tag by allowing a cord or ribbon to pass through. |
Consultation Details
The client approached us with a request to replace their existing paper product tags with a sticker format that would be easier to handle and more cost-effective. For the material, they wanted to keep costs as low as possible while maintaining a high-end, matte finish. In terms of design, they requested full-color (CMYK) printing on the front and single-color (black) printing on the reverse for essential information. The finishing required “butchinuki” die-cutting along with a hole for attaching a string or ribbon.
Our Proposal
To ensure the piece would function reliably as a tag, a standard sticker material would not provide sufficient thickness or strength. We therefore proposed using 135 kg art paper, which is thicker than typical sticker stock, with a matte PP lamination on the surface. The matte PP not only reduces glare and gives a refined texture but also protects the printed surface. Since the design featured soft, delicate tones throughout, we selected offset printing for its superior color accuracy and smooth gradient reproduction. For the finishing, we carried out “butchinuki” die-cutting as requested and added a hole for attachment, making it a highly practical format that works both as a sticker and as a tag.

No two lace pieces are the same—each is created by intertwining threads, woven by human hands, and passed on to others. Every piece of lace carries a story, shared between the maker and the user.
Graceful and refined, yet gently by your side—lace is a quietly special presence. Captivated by its charm, we are committed to inviting people into the world of lace, across generations and through time.
