Consultation Details
This project involved producing hologram stickers for the Sumida Hokusai Museum’s special exhibition “Hokusai Samurai Art Tradition.” These stickers are intended to be given away as novelties to event visitors. They requested that we propose a hologram pattern from scratch. The final sticker size is A6. After the design was confirmed, the printing method was left to us, but they requested that the specified colors be reproduced faithfully.
Our Proposal
We proposed Hologram No.3, which features a fine scattering of dots. We thought it evoked an image of a samurai dynamically moving as if amidst falling snow, and recommended it. The printing was executed via letterpress in three colors (white + specialty color + black). Since the hologram material is not white, we first printed white on the necessary areas, and then printed the specialty color (blue or pink) and black on top. The final product was finished with die-cutting, making it suitable for distribution.
