Consultation Details
This project involved creating labels for lubricant bottles sold overseas. The client had no particular preferences regarding material or method, but they wanted the label to comply with the CLP regulation and to include 27 languages. Due to the shape of the bottle, the labels will be applied manually, so ease of application was a key consideration. They also requested a joint development process, starting with hearing their requirements for the multilayer label specifications before finalizing the design.
Our Proposal
We proposed a multilayer label, which is essentially a leaflet-type label. Although it appears compact, once opened, the folded printed material unfolds. We collaboratively developed this multilayer label tailored for Yamaha. This label, which comprises a total of 25 pages, accommodates text in 27 languages on a single sheet. The peel-off section is over-laminated to allow easy opening and closing. For the bottom layer, we adopted transparent PET50μ.
