Request details
The client approached us for a rum bottle label. Since it would appear in a film, they placed great importance on visual impact. They requested a material with a natural texture and a simple two-color design, and also showed interest in embossing and foil stamping. The label was to have a custom die-cut shape.
Our proposal
We recommended using washi cotton as the label material. Washi cotton has a slightly fibrous surface with a matte, cotton-like texture. Its non-glossy finish gives an elegant and subdued appearance. For finishing options, we proposed blue foil stamping and embossing. These subtle touches enhance the sense of luxury without being overly flashy. The final product was delivered in sheet-cut format.

client:Grace Rum Co., Ltd.
Grace Rum Co., Ltd. is based on Minami-Daito Island, a place with a rich history of sugarcane cultivation. Embracing the blessings of the island, they craft each bottle of rum with great care and dedication. Rather than recreating conventional rum, they chose to highlight the quality of their locally grown sugarcane and focus on craftsmanship and passion. This philosophy led them to produce an additive-free, uncolored white rum—made without sugar, flavorings, or artificial coloring.

Film: Kaze no Majimu
Inspired by a true story, Kaze no Majimu follows a woman who, moved by the powerful sugarcane grown in the winds of Minami-Daito Island, decides to create a special rum—and starts her own company after working as a regular employee.
