We were tasked with creating the label for Nishihira Shuzo's brown sugar shochu "Kana". Since the design was highly detailed, they requested a printing method that could reproduce these details accurately. The material requested was washi paper, characteristic of Japanese shochu labels. For the finishing touch, they wanted foil stamping to add a luxurious feel. Additionally, they requested to include clear holographic foil in certain areas. The label will consist of four labels per bottle (sealing label, brand label, front label, back label).
Our proposal
We proposed using offset printing for the labels. The design of the label is inspired by old banknotes, with intricate patterns and textures, making offset printing the most suitable method. For the material, we recommended washi Hosho paper, which features fine stripes. For the foil stamping, we proposed Murata Gold Leaf No. 12 and for the clear holographic foil, we recommended Kurz Laser SL Transparent foil.

To protect the sealing seal from damage during transport, Nishihira Shuzo carefully wraps each bottle's neck with washi paper, securing it with thick paper inside the box to prevent any damage from shaking during transportation.
